Get Connected With Windows NT 4.0
Note:
- This guide assumes that the ethernet card is already installed and detected by Windows NT.
- If your ethernet card is not currently detected by Windows NT, run the Add New Hardware option in Control Panel, and be sure to answer Yes when asked whether Windows NT should search for new hardware. Sorry, we can't help with hardware installations.
Installing network components
- Double click Network in Control Panel to open Network configuration window.
- Go to the Protocol Tab.
- Double click the TCP/IP Protocol to bring up the TCP/IP configuration window.
- Under IP Address tab.
- For Adapter, Select the name of the ethernet card that will be used.
- Select Obtain an IP Address from a DHCP server.
- Click OK and then OK again to apply the changes.
