Search ResNet
Get Connected With Windows XP
Note:- You should be able to connect to Resnet with the default network configuration for Windows XP. Check whether you can get online before following these steps.
- This guide assumes that the ethernet card is already installed and detected by Windows XP.
- If your ethernet card is not currently detected by Windows XP, run the Add Hardware option in sidebar of Printers and Other Hardware in Control Panel, and be sure to answer Yes when asked whether Windows XP should search for new hardware. Then follow the instructions given. Sorry, we can't help with hardware installations.
Installing network components
- Right click My Network Places and click on Properties.
- Right Click on Local Area Network and select Properties to open the Connection Properties windows.
- Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties to open the TCP/IP Properties windows.

- Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically
- Click OK and then OK again to apply the changes.
